Job Description
The Private Markets Fund Team is seeking to hire an analyst with investment experience in Alternatives. As a key member of the team, this individual will assist in assessing new investment opportunities in limited partnership funds and help manage an existing portfolio of private market assets. The analyst will also support investment execution processes and portfolio management efforts post-closing
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Build deep understanding of private investment strategies including Primary fund investments, Equity Co-investments, Secondaries across asset classes i.e. Private Equity, Private Credit and Real Estate
- Support the execution of investments in private market funds and co-investments by performing due diligence, financial analysis, and modeling. Prepare and present investment committee memos and other presentations
- Manage investment pacing and portfolio construction for our client accounts including assisting with the production and presentation of materials, organizing and coordinating meetings
- Participate in LP annual meetings, management presentations, and other diligence sessions. Construct arguments about investment decisions and effectively communicate them verbally and in writing on an ongoing basis
- Take lead roles in ad hoc projects, ESG and market research
- Liaise with other investment team members, finance, operations and legal teams to prepare responses for prospect /client inquiries and deliver monitoring reports
- Flexibility and willingness to work across asset classes
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience (i.e. private markets, valuation advisory, investment banking, venture capital)
- MBA/Masters, CFA, or CPA
- Strong interest and intellectual curiosity in the private markets
- Highly proficient in financial statement analysis and financial modeling
- Extensive knowledge of corporate finance and capital markets
- Strong research skills incorporating qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple investment opportunities and projects
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with external parties
